Job Description

  • Follows up with the technicians the workflow which achieves balance and fairness within the group
  • Performing the general maintenance for Deisel equipment.
  • Conducting repairs and diagnostic.
  • Troubleshooting the faults.
  • Conducting test drives and other routine checks.
  • Preparing and maintaining the diagnostic report for future use.
  • Supervising the diesel generator installation, commissioning start up.
  • Maintaining the inventory level of the components and restocking them when required.
  • Supervising the diesel generator repair offers and maintenance agreements.
  • Supervising the diesel generator major activities and the subcontractors.
  • Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the safety and inspection procedures.
  • Working in collaboration with the repair team and other fellow team members.

Job Requirements

QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Prepare Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Review and study thoroughly project specifications, project drawings, and quality-related contract requirements.
  • Prepare submit and amend as needed the project quality plan and acquire approval of the engineer at the beginning of each project.
  • Prepare submit and amend as needed Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and acquire approval of the engineer at the beginning of each project.
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance management to achieve quality requirements and required KPIs
  • Attend to all material inspection requests (IR), by performing inspections on materials with consultants to ensure its compliance with standards.
  • Report, monthly, to the management a summary quality control report of all the quality activities performed in terms of non-conformance reports statuses (NCR), material inspection requests (MIR), internal and external inspection requests (IR), etc.
  • manage the quality logs updating on regular basis with all quality activities and status to facilitate communication with management and other involved parties.
  • Maintain quality objectives and the effectiveness of the quality management system on the project.
  • Act as an interface with the clients and consultants in all issues related to Quality.
  • Plan and undertake subcontractor audits and reviews of subcontractor quality
Education and Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Field.• Minimum 5 years of experience.

• Must have experience in Construction field

• Very good command of both written and spoken English language.

Quantity Survey Engineer

Summary

  • Participate in project tenders and perform technical and commercial analysis providing material quantities & take offs, and cost estimates to ensure optimum budgeting for the tender.
  • Provides technical and commercial support to construction teams working on a project and liaises with the Project Manager, Technical office Manager, Construction  Manager, Engineering consultants, to ensure the work is proceeding as per approved cost estimates and completed within the planned budget.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Study the project documents, drawings, specifications and bill of quantities and provide the quantity survey and cost analysis reports on an early stage of the project to assist the technical office manager to forecast budget requirements.
  • Prepare, update, and submit quantity survey reports, material take offs, and follow up approvals with the Engineering consultant.
  • Analyze and report materials on stock and manage material ordering to ensure a steady work flow in a timely proper manner in coordination with the procurement team.
  • Monitor and control the project budget, report on forecasted budget at completion, provide creative solutions to mitigate any risks.
  • Track changes & variation, estimate and analyze cost, update and adjust project budgets according to approved variation.
  • Prepare the interim payment certificates, update the Anticipated Financial Accounts of the project, analyze project outcomes, and create detailed financial reports.
  • Prepare cost estimates and cost breakdown for different activities.
  • Monitor changes, identify variation orders and report the same to the Technical office Manager and support in preparing and acquiring approval on the related cost breakdown.
  • Take part in the issue of the material submittals and workshop drawings.
  • Participate in issuing subcontractors packages and prepare subcontractor BOQs and related specifications in coordination with the procurement department.
  • Support the Technical office manager in preparation of subcontractors’ payments based on the approved quantity survey and site progress.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the document control team and ensure maintaining organized and detailed records and documents of all projects (i.e. working drawings, quantity surveying, purchase orders … etc) and coordinating with different teams to get these documents issued.
  • Participating in progress meetings, proposing, discussing and acquire approval on technical and commercial proposals.
  • Participate in project management review and risk management review.
  • Take part in the preparation of taking over certificate, project documents and As-built packages.
  • Communicating projects’ progress and problems/risks/concerns to Senior Management.
  • Communicate, Liaise, and coordinate with different departments and stakeholders inside and outside the organization to ensure a successful completion of the project.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Architectural Engineering or other relevant.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in the Construction and Engineering industry.
  • Extensive experience in construction/site management, project budgeting, Project evaluation and financial aspects of construction projects.
  • Strong track record of successfully completed projects of all types and sizes.
  • Chartered certificate from RICS is preferable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional numeracy and financial management skills.
  • Excellent Knowledge of BIM Modeling.
  • Excellent knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD and Quantity Survey- Shop Drawings.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, problem solving, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.
  • Capable of reading drawings and schematics.
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
  • Ability to work across cultural and organisational boundaries and deliver under pressure.
  • Second language (English) is highly desirable.
