Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer (Revit) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and be proficient in using Revit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Preparing, submitting, and following up on shop drawings, QS, and as-built drawings

• Following up on material submittals

• Preparing subcontractors’ and client’s invoices based on the progress report sent by the site engineer

• Preparing and following up on Variation Orders

• Ensure that electrical designs are accurate and meet project requirements

• Prepare shop drawings and other documentation

• Assist with the bidding process

• Monitor construction progress and make necessary changes to the design

• Prepare as-built drawings

##Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• 3-10 years of experience in the electrical engineering field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point)

• Excellent command of Arabic and English language skills

• AutoCAD experience is a must

• Revit experience is a must

Senior Technical Office Engineer

Summary

  • Participate in project tenders and perform technical and commercial analysis providing material quantities & take offs, and cost estimates to ensure optimum budgeting for the tender.
  • Provides technical and commercial support to construction teams working on a project and liaises with the Project Manager, Technical office Manager, Construction  Manager, Engineering consultants, to ensure the work is proceeding as per approved cost estimates and completed within the planned budget.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Study the project documents, drawings, specifications and bill of quantities and provide the quantity survey and cost analysis reports on an early stage of the project to assist the technical office manager to forecast budget requirements.
  • Prepare, update, and submit quantity survey reports, material take offs, and follow up approvals with the Engineering consultant.
  • Analyze and report materials on stock and manage material ordering to ensure a steady work flow in a timely proper manner in coordination with the procurement team.
  • Monitor and control the project budget, report on forecasted budget at completion, provide creative solutions to mitigate any risks.
  • Track changes & variation, estimate and analyze cost, update and adjust project budgets according to approved variation.
  • Prepare the interim payment certificates, update the Anticipated Financial Accounts of the project, analyze project outcomes, and create detailed financial reports.
  • Prepare cost estimates and cost breakdown for different activities.
  • Monitor changes, identify variation orders and report the same to the Technical office Manager and support in preparing and acquiring approval on the related cost breakdown.
  • Take part in the issue of the material submittals and workshop drawings.
  • Participate in issuing subcontractors packages and prepare subcontractor BOQs and related specifications in coordination with the procurement department.
  • Support the Technical office manager in preparation of subcontractors’ payments based on the approved quantity survey and site progress.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the document control team and ensure maintaining organized and detailed records and documents of all projects (i.e. working drawings, quantity surveying, purchase orders … etc) and coordinating with different teams to get these documents issued.
  • Participating in progress meetings, proposing, discussing and acquire approval on technical and commercial proposals.
  • Participate in project management review and risk management review.
  • Take part in the preparation of taking over certificate, project documents and As-built packages.
  • Communicating projects’ progress and problems/risks/concerns to Senior Management.
  • Communicate, Liaise, and coordinate with different departments and stakeholders inside and outside the organization to ensure a successful completion of the project.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Architectural Engineering or other relevant.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in the Construction and Engineering industry.
  • Extensive experience in construction/site management, project budgeting, Project evaluation and financial aspects of construction projects.
  • Strong track record of successfully completed projects of all types and sizes.
  • Chartered certificate from RICS is preferable.

Key Skills and Pre-requisites

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional numeracy and financial management skills.
  • Excellent Knowledge of BIM Modeling.
  • Excellent knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD and Quantity Survey- Shop Drawings.

Quantity Survey Engineer

Summary

Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer

Summary

  • Participate in project tenders and perform technical and commercial studies pointing out the technical requirements of the project and the optimum cost breakdown for the items.
  • Provides technical support to construction teams working on a project and liaises with the Technical office Manager, Site Manager, Engineering consultants, to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Study the project documents, drawings, specifications and bill of quantities to coordinate the technical aspects of the project and support the Technical office manager in all technical and commercial issues to the benefit of the organization.
  • Preparing and follow up technical and material submittals till obtaining approvals from the Engineering consultant.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, designs and value engineering proposals and follow up with the Engineering consultant till obtaining approvals.
  • Prepare workshop drawings, technical proposals, and construction method statements with construction personnel and till obtaining approvals from the Engineering consultant.
  • Prepare and issue request for information and follow up the feedback of the Engineering consultants.
  • Prepare quantity survey reports and material takeoff and coordinate with the procurement team the delivery of relative items in a timely proper manner.
  • Support the Technical office manager to prepare the interim payment certificates, and update the Anticipated Financial Accounts of the project.
  • Participating in progress meetings, proposing, discussing and acquire approval on technical proposals.
  • Participate in project management review and risk management review.
  • Support the Technical Office Manager in preparing, reviewing and submitting interim payment certificates till acquiring approvals from the Engineer and the Employer.
  • Prepare cost estimates and cost breakdown for different activities.
  • Monitor changes, identify variation orders and report the same to the Technical office Manager and support in preparing and acquiring approval on the related cost breakdown.
  • Support the Technical office manager in selection process of subcontractors and suppliers for projects and prepare subcontractors’ payments based on the site progress.
  • Coordinate with the suppliers all technical data and information preparing subcontractor tender packages including drawings BOQs and related specifications and discuss technical proposals in coordination with the procurement department.
  • Support the Technical office manager in documenting project issues/conditions.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the document control team and ensure maintaining organized and detailed records and documents of all projects (i.e. working drawings, quantity surveying, purchase orders … etc) and coordinating with different teams to get these documents issued.
  • Taking part in checking the quality of the executed works.
  • Preparation of As-built packages for the project including all required documentations and acquiring approval from the Engineering consultant.
  • Implementing and solving technical problems that arise.
  • Communicating projects’ progress and problems/risks/concerns to Senior Management.
  • Communicate, Liaise, and coordinate with different departments and stakeholders inside and outside the organization to ensure a successful completion of the project.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • 7 -10  years’ experience in the Construction and Engineering industry.
  • Extensive experience in operations, design, engineering, site works, construction/site management, project evaluation and technical office engineering.
  • Strong track record of successfully completed projects of all types and sizes.

Key Skills and Pre-requisites

  • Proven experience in BIM Modeling Engineering Project.
  • Excellent user of REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and internet.
  • Good knowledge of Mechanical Design Software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Capable of reading drawings and schematics.
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
  • In-depth, current technical engineering knowledge.
